University Preparation

Charter University Prep is a 7-12th grade school under the El Dorado County Office of Education. Our format is similar to a College where students attend classes two or three days a week and study on the other days. We are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and our graduates are very successful at top Universities throughout California and the world.

Depending on class choices, students come to the school site on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday for one hour classes in each subject. Most students take five academic courses each semester. Students schedule their non-classroom times to complete home assignments, pursue electives, take community college courses, participate in P.E. activities, participate in internships or to work in the business world.

We offer activities and instruction which focus on the value of individual thought, unique experiences, high level language skills, college preparatory science and mathematics, the humanities, and the arts. Our students are motivated to learn, are supported by their parents, and are taught by teachers who are experts in their fields.

Parents and Students Must Sign

Master Agreements were handed out to students on Tues and Wed, May 7-8th.   Parents and Students should sign the master agreements and course contracts, returning them at the latest on Monday, May 14th.

If there are changes in your schedule you would like to make, please indicate on a separate piece of paper. Go ahead and sign the contracts/Master agreement and we will create an addendum for any changes. Do not make changes, white out, or use pencil on the the Master Agreement.

Any changes will be subject to class space. We will not normally change courses in order to simply change teachers or periods.
